GSP LEADERS_2026
DMITRIY GORODNOV
Detailed Information
1. About the essence of the work
“If you had to describe the key mission of your role in the company in just a few sentences — what would it be?”
The key mission of my role is to ensure transparent, reliable and timely management and external corporate reporting. We transform disparate production, financial and operational data of the Group's companies into a single strategically significant picture, which serves as a reliable basis for making management decisions by the company's management and meeting the requirements of shareholders.
3. About leadership
“In your view, what is the true strength of a leader — authority, the ability to inspire, or something else?”
The real power of a leader lies in the ability to create an environment in which the team can reach its maximum potential. The leader must be the architect of a system that trains the team to build reliable designs on their own, where mistakes are treated as learning data rather than a reason for punishment. This allows the team to make decisions at their level based on the big picture.
4. About energy and resource state
“What becomes your source of energy when professional or project challenges demand maximum focus?”
During periods of maximum concentration and challenge, my main source of energy is a deep immersion in the structure of the problem and subsequent facilitation of the team search for the optimal solution. When, after collecting, reconciling and modeling, all the variables converge, and you see a clear, logically flawless picture of the business process, expressed in numbers, this gives a colossal release of energy. This is confirmation that chaos can be ordered.
5. About productivity
“Share your main tool or method that helps you stay focused and effective in multitasking conditions.”
My main tool is the “one window” principle for incoming requests and strict adherence to the “complete cycle” rule. When multitasking, I absolutely avoid context switching until I complete the current block of work. All new incoming tasks are recorded in a single tracker with priority and processing time assigned, which allows you to maintain focus on the main thing without losing sight of the unimportant.
6. About inspiration
“Do you have a book, quote, or philosophical principle that supports you in moments of uncertainty or crisis?”
In moments of uncertainty, I often turn to a principle that can be formulated as follows: “Control what you can control and accept what you cannot.” This is not a direct quote, but rather a stoic worldview applicable to reporting: we cannot control changes in the program and requirements of the Investor or changes in legislation, but we can 100% control the quality of data collection and the impeccability of the calculation methodology. This allows you to focus energy on the area of influence.
7. About the team and corporate culture
“What do you value most in our team or company? The trait that sets us apart from others?”
